Walk on the Wildside
Walk on The Wildside is held annually in early October, showcasing all things arty, handmade, quirky and collectible in Boyup Brook.
Take a guided wildflower walk in celebration of spring, biodiversity, our picturesque landscapes, flora and fauna. Explore our streets with hidden treasures around each corner. Statues that follow you, sculptures and murals. Discover antiques, pre-loved 'vinyl' and curios of all kinds. Delight in the passion and patience of hand crafts, fine art and woodwork. Take a walk back in time through the Boyup Brook District Pioneer's Museum, Boyup Brook Classic Cars, and the scale models of the Flaxmill and Railway Station. |

Blooming Wildflower Tours
Friday 4th and Saturday 5th October 2024

or book In-person at the Visitor Centre or Phone 9765 1444. Pre-payment essential.
Tour 1: Friday 4th October 9am-2pm
Tour 2: Saturday 5th October 9am-2pm
All tours will Leave from the Railway Station, returning via the Visitor Centre in Abel Park.
Each day will the bus will go to a different location and there will be a qualified Botanist along with knowledgeable locals on hand.
Please wear suitable walking shoes; walks may involve uneven or sloping ground and steps. Please be sun safe and bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.
Fri 4th & Sat 5th – Walk on the Wild Side - Collections Gallore!
Come to the Visitor Centre to collect your booklet which tells you what’s on and where everything is.
Two awesome days to enjoy everything collectable in Boyup Brook!
Explore the quirkiest of collections Boyup Brook has to offer in the comfort of your own time.
Visit the Boyup Brook District Pioneer's Museum, Boyup Brook Classic Cars, and the scale models of the Flaxmill and Railway Station, for a trip back in time.
Check out the charming streetscape and unusual businesses while enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
Tea lovers should visit the quirky Quacking Frog Teapot Shed, boasting a collection of more than 5000 teapots, serving delicious morning and afternoon teas and light lunches.
Step into Yarn & Co for spinning demo, garden ornaments, plants and crafts, Bridge St.
Grab a brochure from the Visitor Centre and Stalk the Sculptures and check out the wall art around town.
Boyup Brook Visitor Centre
We will be open 9am-4pm Friday and Saturday, and You're Absolutely Welcome!
Head to the Visitor Centre to see the beautiful Carnaby Jewel Beetle and Butterfly Collection.
Keith Carnaby was a leading light in the study of jewel beetles, and this portion of his collection will take your breath away!
The Visitor Centre also showcases the impressive Kradals Doll Collection, the Kirup Conglomerate rocks and The Ivan Carnaby Bird Egg Collection.
Fabulous locally made craft and art to purchase along with delicious local produce to tempt your taste buds all available at the Visitor Centre.

At the Visitor Centre located in Abel Park.
Fri 4th - Interactive displays of wool felting with Bev Prideaux, wool felting artist. Demonstration of needle felting with Aussie wool 10am-12noon and felted wildflower sculpting 1pm-3pm.
Sat 5th - Children and those young at heart can become an artist for the day....try your hand at being creative and join in the fun. All materials provided for a small charge, and take your masterpiece home!

Find exquisite work by extraordinary local artists, a delightfully eclectic collection of original artworks featuring a range of stunning pieces from breathtaking acrylic paintings, impressionist oils to intricate watercolours and 3D art pieces, our collection has something for everyone. There are unique and beautiful pieces some of which are inspired from the local flora and fauna that capture the essence of our region. Photography Awards & Exhibition at the Community Resource Centre
'What’s Your Angle?' Photography Competition will be on display at the Boyup Brook CRC, Friday, October 4 from 10-4pm followed by Exhibition Awards Night, from 5:30-7pm. The exhibition will continue the following week from Monday to Friday, October 7-11 from 9am-4pm. The competition categories include Landscapes, Animals, Flora, Boyup Brook and Open.
