 CMCA ECO RV PARK (formerly Flax Mill Caravan Park)

Nestled in the junction of the Blackwood River and the Boyup Brook, the Flax Mill Caravan Park has a secluded atmosphere but is only a ten minute stroll from the town centre

The caravan park is located in the grounds of the old Flax Mill, a significant part of Boyup Brook’s history. The Mill was in operation from 1939 to 1965 and is the only example, throughout Australia, with some buildings still standing. Visitors can see the scale models made by Robert Jamieson, of the Flax Mill in full production, Skeleton Bridge complete with train and a new model of the Railway Station in the caravan park office PLEASE NOTE: please contact Shire or caretakers to view the models.

Easily accessible are the Bicentennial Walk Trail  around the perimeter of the town, the Bridle Trail to Skeleton Bridge and only 100 metres from the Music Park and Sound Shell with outdoor adult exercise equipment, town swimming pool and Recreation Grounds, which is also the designated official dog exercise area. It is a dog friendly caravan park but they must be on a lead

Harvey Dickson Bush Camping 

Bush Camping at Harvey Dickson's Country Music Centre offers a unique camping experience with picturesque surroundings, a mixture of mystery, enchantment, and character that comes with a farm that was established in 1885
Harvey Dickson's has 2 Bush Camping sites available for $10 per person per night
The Main Bush Camping Site is in and around the Rock Arena within the Rodeo Complex. It is pleasant and exciting at the same time. There are large rocks, trees, sculptures, and a first class view of the country environment surround you. The Rock Arena has toilets but no power or showers. There is a dam water tap near the toilets that can be used to top up your shower water and a rainwater tank near the Dead Horse Saloon for drinking water. If need be the Flax Mill Caravan Park and the Boyup Brook Hotel offer showers to our campers at a reasonable price.

Tonebridge

Enter off the Boyup Brook-Cranbrook Road next to the Bridge over the Tone River on the south side. Suitable as an overnight stop or picnic area, with BBQ, picnic tables, toilet, and shelter. Easy access for caravans.

Querijup Pool
​S - 33° 58’ 01.2” E - 116° 30’ 38.9”
​The entrance is left off Scotts Brook Road 6 km from the Boyup Brook-Kojonup Road near to Scotts Brook Vineyard. A large reserve with open bush parkland and good camping, but no facilities. A track leads to a quiet crossing on Scotts Brook. Many native birds and kangaroos can be spotted.

​Eulin Crossing Reserve
​S 33° 42’ 04” - E 116° 40’ 27.9”
​Access is into Eulin Crossing Road from Boyup Brook-Arthur River Road or Kulikup North Road. The campsite is at the Kulikup North Road end. An excellent place for a bush picnic, with picnic table, flat sandy beach access to the river, an earthen boat launching ramp, and a large pool 6km long and very wide in some places. A very popular spot for water activities, water birds, and wildflowers in season. Large enough for several camp sites and suitable for smaller caravans, campervans and tents.
Beware of underwater snags if swimming. No facilities.

​Picnic Sites (No Camping)

Boyup Brook Billabong
​On the banks of the Boyup Brook, this is a gorgeous natural setting where a small pool and rock formations provide a tranquil experience. Access is across the footbridge behind the Railway buildings. On the way down to the water you will find a picnic table where, if you are very lucky and quiet and patient, you may see robin red breasts or blue wrens and other small bird life. 
Music Park
​Situated on the Riverside in Jackson Street on the way to the Flax Mill Caravan Park, the Music Park offers a picnic table, water, large open spaces and outdoor gym equipment. This facility is a designated dog exercise area together with the nearby oval. A stroll along the Bicentennial Walk Trail by the river will bring you out at the Lions Tourist Park. This trail is 6 km long and travels around the outskirts of the town through two bush reserves where wild flowers are abundant in season, and along the banks of the Boyup Brook to return you to this point. The nearby Flax Mill at the Caravan Park site is worth a visit.
Abel Park
​This small park is in the heart of the town on the grounds of the Visitor Information Centre.  Facilities include picnic tables, a gazebo, disabled access toilets with baby changing facilities. With a grassed area and beautiful shady trees, this park is close to shops and TRANSWA bus station
​Lions Tourist Park
​Set on the banks of the Blackwood River on the town side of the bridge on the road to Kojonup, this park has a natural bush setting and provides picnic tables, toilets, water, and night lighting. 
Sandakan Park
​Located behind the Town Hall and right in the middle of town, this park is home to the Sandakan Memorial which honours those prisoners of war who lost their lives in the Borneo Death Marches in WWII. There is a free BBQ, access to a power point and water, gazebo shelters, picnic tables, a large playground under sails, a skateboard rink, three hologram sculptures, and open parkland with wandoo trees. Access to the toilets is behind the Town Hall.
